Habyt launches new flexible living space in Tanjong Pagar
Habyt has already introduced a new accomodation spot at 5 Kadayanallur Street in Tanjong Pagar. The 18-room Kada at Maxwell is the front runner spot for the operator’s Habyt Flex design, that presents a strategic growing of the business’s product offerings beyond long-term co-living.
“By blending contemporary conveniences with the timeless charm of a heritage building, we’re offering guests a special lifestyle journey that exceeds traditional holiday accommodation,” includes Wong.
Residents of Kada at Maxwell will enjoy unlimited and complimentary access to the property’s health and wellness features, including the performance fitness center, cold plunge, infrared saunas, jacuzzis and foot bathrooms.
The site was awarded to Bethesda Medical, which submitted a monthly rental proposal of $103,000, the third-highest quote cost after Wan Dormitory ($160,000) and The Working Capitol ($108,240).
Wong states Habyt Kada at Maxwell presents the company’s commitment to redefining flexible living in Singapore and notes its shift towards the upcoming phase of evolution for Habyt Asia Pacific. Room rates at Kada at Maxwell is going to begin at $180 per day.
The adaptable living space lies inside a preserved 1920s colonial building. The three-storey structure, designed by the architectural company Swan & Maclaren, was one of the very first modernist buildings in Singapore. It was constructed to house the St Andrew’s Mission Hospital for Women and Children.
A public tender to lease the property, now handled by the Singapore Land Authority (SLA), was introduced in September 2023. The tender was evaluated based upon the bid price and the quality of the proposed concept, and SLA enticed bidders to think about fresh way of living principles.
Kada at Maxwell are going to offer a range of spaces, involving en suite studios and two- to three-bedroom units. Each unit has a fully set up kitchen space. Guests can book spaces on a nightly or weekly basis, with a 12-month selection also available.
In August, Habyt Asia Pacific CEO Jonathan Wong signalled that the company was planning to include more short-term living alternatives to its local lineup. The first properties within the Habyt Flex idea are the 39-room Habyt Novena and the 27-room Habyt Kallang, both released in August. Other properties under the Habyt Flex concept involve Habyt Cantonment and Owen House by Habyt.
SLA mentioned Bethesda’s strong concentrate on neighborhood building and connecting people with businesses as what gave its concept the succeeding edge. The first floor will feature 10 F&B offerings, while the 2nd level will house a gym by Limitless, a wellness center in partnership with Shiruki Studio, and a co-working area. Habyt’s Kada at Maxwell is on the third floor.
