Final two pandemic-delayed BTO projects completed: HDB

HDB is expected to alert the remaining flat proprietors of their key collection date shortly, following the finish of the last blocks just within both projects this month.

The remaining ventures had waiting times of approximately 5 years. Generally, over 18,000 apartments were carried out in 2024, claims HDB.

Condo proprietors of Punggol Point Cove (Phase 2) have been getting the keys to their brand-new home since November 2024, while key collection for Kempas Residence began in mid-January this year.

Positioned in between Serangoon Roadway, Lavender Road and Boon Kheng Road, Kempas Residences BTO project has 583 units of two-room flexi, three-, four-room flats across four residential blocks.

Placed along New Punggol Road, Punggol Point Cove (Phase 2) consists of 1,179 units of two-room flexi, 3-, 4- and five-room apartments throughout six residential blocks. Following pandemic problems, the work’s last block was completed 12 months from its first Probable Completion Date (PCD) at an earlier time this month.

As at Jan 15, 37 households or about 7% of 555 booked units have received their keys.

The 22 housing projects included two Shorter Waiting Time (SWT) ventures, that were finished in just a waiting duration of less than 3 years. The SWT work, Parc Glen at Tengah and Grove Spring at Yishun, consisted of a total of 1,995 condos.

Minister for National Development Desmond Lee has publicized the finalization of the final two pandemic-delayed work from HDB, according to a Jan 20 launch.

Both Build-to-Order (BTO) projects, Punggol Point Cove (Stage 2) and Kempas Residences, observe the completion of HDB’s pandemic-delayed housing projects. As a whole, the 92 projects have actually supplied over 75,800 brand-new condos to Singaporeans over the last five years.

The final block, which was delayed by six months from its original PCD, was finished in mid-January.

As at Jan 15, 657 households or 59% of 1,109 reserved units have gathered their keys.

According to HDB, the completion of Punggol Point Cove (Stage 2) denotes the conclusion of all condos in the Punggol Point District. This includes Punggol Point Cove (Stage 1), Punggol Point Woods and Punggol Point Crown BTO projects, that were finished in 2024.

In 2024, HDB finished a sum of 22 home ventures, 17 of which were put off by the pandemic. With the exemption of one that was postponed due to non-pandemic reasons, the remaining 4 housing assignments were finished in a timely manner.

At the moment, 110 HDB housing projects are under development, up from 95 a year ago due to the increase in BTO supply in recent years. HDB says it is on track to finish around 17,000 condos across 27 ventures in 2025.
